Who we are
EZrider is a community accessibility service for the NYC subway. This page explains what data we collect and how it is used. Contact us at privacy@ezrider.app.
What we collect
- Anonymous session id. When you visit the app we create an anonymous account so we can rate-limit abuse and let you confirm reports. No personal information is attached.
- Google account (optional). If you sign in with Google, we store your email address and display name so we can attribute your reports and honor sign-in.
- Reports. The station, type of report (elevator out, etc.), any text note you add, and a timestamp. Reports are public.
- Followed stations. Stations you follow so we can notify you.
- Push subscription (optional). If you enable push notifications, your browser's push endpoint is stored so we can send alerts.
What we do not collect
We do not collect precise location. We do not track you across other sites. We do not sell data.
Third parties
The live elevator/escalator status is pulled from the MTA's public feed. Sign-in and data storage are provided by Lovable Cloud (Supabase). Push notifications use your browser's push service (Google, Apple, Mozilla) which sees only an opaque endpoint.
Retention & deletion
Reports auto-expire from the live map after 2 hours if not re-confirmed. To delete your account and all associated reports, email privacy@ezrider.app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Email us to exercise them.
